Our remarkable 5,000 square foot natural rock wine cellar stands as a must-visit attraction in the Okanagan wine region. Carved into the granite of the mountainside by the forces of evolution and glaciers, with a touch of human ingenuity, it seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings. Many years in the making, this enclosed space boasts natural climate control and houses both the barrel cellar and custom-designed stainless steel tanks.
Both our distinctive wine shop and the breathtaking natural rock wine cellar offer guests a chance to immerse themselves in the terroir and splendor of our property. However, please note that we are currently not conducting cellar tours at this time.
Pentâge Winery opened its tasting room only in 2011, eight years after opening the winery. The reason: it took Paul Gardner eleven years to plan and dig the massive 465 square-metre (5,000 square foot) cave from the crown of hard rock commanding this vineyard’s million-dollar view of Skaha Lake. Cool and spacious, this cave accommodates barrels and tanks of wine in a feat of engineering. You can even appreciate the ambiance without a tour by peering through the gigantic glass doors at the front of the cave.
