Our impressive 5,000 square foot natural rock wine cellar is a must visit if you are in the Okanagan wine region. Carved into the granite on the mountainside by evolution and the glaciers, along with a bit of man-made ingenuity it was a natural fit. Many years in the making the enclosed space is naturally climate controlled and home to the barrel cellar and custom designed stainless steel tanks.
Both the unique wine shop and the stunning natural rock wine cellar allow guests to immerse themselves in the terroir and beauty of our property.
We are currently not operating cellar tours at this time.
Pentâge Winery opened its tasting room only in 2011, eight years after opening the winery. The reason: it took Paul Gardner eleven years to plan and dig the massive 465 square-metre (5,000 square foot) cave from the crown of hard rock commanding this vineyard’s million-dollar view of Skaha Lake. Cool and spacious, this cave accommodates barrels and tanks of wine in a feat of engineering. You can even appreciate the ambiance without a tour by peering through the gigantic glass doors at the front of the cave.
